Monday Challenge: Dare To Ask For It

Our theme this month is Audacity in August, meaning that we are daring to face our fears and doing it anyway!! 

 Today let’s do “The Bold Ask” challenge. Choose one thing you truly want – an opportunity, a resource, or a connection — and ask for it boldly. It could be asking from God, a person, an institution or even from yourself. At times we self-sabotage ourselves and so we need to ‘ask us to set us free’ to pursue our dreams and goals. 

Audacity Tip: The world often opens doors for those who dare to knock. ‘Ask and it shall be given unto you’ says the Holy Bible. Be brave. Ask for it. Go for it !

Our theme for this month’s is Audacity August – Dare to Start. Many of us have been sitting on projects to implement, books to write, courses to start, songs to record, proposals to submit, places to go to since January. Now we have only 4 months to go before the year ends. 

This week ’s challenge is: Pick one bold goal or dream you’ve been putting off — no matter how big — and take the first courageous step today. That step can be sending an email, making a call, researching your options, or even writing your idea down clearly. Let’s Go!!

This week’s challenge is called “Name It, Frame It, Tame It!”. Here’s how it works… Choose one persistent thought, worry, or emotional loop that’s been bothering you lately.

  • Name it — Call it out as you feel it (e.g. “I feel like I’m so behind in life.”)
  • Frame it — Now let’s move it from your mind onto a frame but now as a more compassionate, empowering thought. (e.g. “I’m in my lane, at my own pace, and I am making progress even if it may not seem like I am.”)
  • Tame it — Decide one practical action you’ll take this week to reduce its emotional grip (e.g. write down and celebrate 3 recent wins.)

Why this matters.

When we leave difficult thoughts unnamed, they grow in the dark. This week, you can take your power back by facing them head-on with awareness and strategy. Let’s go – name it, frame it, tame it! Now share with someone who could need this strategy.

Monday ChallengeIntentional Reset

It’s a brand-new week. Please do not carry last week’s dust into this week’s destiny. Here’s how to reset and start on a clean slate this week:

  • Declutter your mind: Write down what’s still lingering from last week. Let go of what no longer serves you.
  • Set a power intention: say “This week, I choose to show up as someone who……  stays grounded, or… speaks kindly to herself… or finishes what he starts”
  • Do one thing differently today: A small shift give you big impact (e.g. taking a mindful 2-minute break mid-morning, or choosing a nourishing lunch).

Monday Challenge: Power of Self-talk.

Your mind believes what you tell it. What you say repeatedly to yourself becomes your reality. Negative self-talk can rewire your brain to expect pain, failure, or rejection, and you will feel if —even when it’s not real. Let’s do this today, and always;

  • Replace “I’m so hurt” with “I’m healing.”
  • Replace “I feel rejected” with “I’m being redirected”
  • Replace “I have failed” to “I am growing”
  • Talk to yourself like someone you love & can’t afford to hurt.

Experience life differently this week by simply changing how you speak to yourself after something bad happens.

This week’s challenge is simple but powerful. Life throws so much at us and emotions get bottled up fast. When we do not process them, they pile up and weigh us down. So let’s reset emotionally every day this week with this 3-step exercise:

  • Pause and breathe slowly 
  • Name the emotion
  • Release the emotion

This practice is essential for reducing stress, improving emotional regulation, and fostering mental resilience, allowing you to approach challenges with greater clarity and positivity. Do not carry today’s emotional baggage into tomorrow, because tomorrow has its own share, enough just for one day. Practice emotional reset daily!
